She was speaking on Wednesday at Hotel Africana in Kampala during the 4th Annual Insurance Agents Convention held under the theme: “Becoming a Champion of Protection: Performance & Purpose in the New Insurance Era.
“At its heart, insurance protects families, businesses and livelihoods from uncertainty. This is not just about statistics or penetration, but about trust. Agents are not just sellers; they are builders of trust and the face of protection,” Namuli noted.
Jonan Kisakye, the Uganda Insurers Association (UIA) chief executive officer, highlighted the sector’s progress, noting the remarkable growth of the convention that now boasts of over 400 delegates compared to just 50 at the inception.

“I want to assure delegates that the convention will provide meaningful engagement on key areas, including compliance, taxation, and personal development. These are areas of concern, and we are sure that once we address the plight of agents, then we shall witness growth,” Kisakye stated.
Joshua Muyomba, Chairman of the Uganda Insurance Agents Association (UIAA), emphasized the importance of collaboration, growth, partnerships, and industry influence in strengthening institutions and expanding global engagement.
