Achievements:

• The establishment of the Oil & Gas Project in 2008.
• Advocated for more staff specifically focusing on technical aspects of the non-life insurance business, Legal Officer, Research Officer and a Finance Administration Manager for smoothly running the secretariat.
• The establishment of the Life Agents Awards in 2009
• The establishment of the East African Insurance Association (EAIA)
• Winning the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) Award for 3 consecutive years from 2008 to 2010 resulting in the receipt of grants with which the association’s service provision was improved. Particularly, the grants provided financial resources for UIA to house 2 rotational projects namely Fin Scope and Finlit from 2008 – 2010.
• The hosting of Fin Scope II which was funded by World Bank & PSFU and Finlit Foundation Uganda.
• Finlit Foundation Uganda is a concerted membership effort of financial sector players that include the Association of Microfinance Institutions Capital Markets Authority, Uganda Association of Insurance Brokers, Uganda Bankers Institute, Uganda Insurers Association, and Uganda Insurance Commission. 
• The grants also used to pay salaries for the Life and Pensions Officer at UIA.
• During this time the CEO’s salary was funded by African Management Services Company (AMSCO).
